Another crazily busy couple of weeks have flown by. We had a good half term week, when it was wonderful to have Grandma Angie to stay. Ava also had a daily swimming session with Musa which she thoroughly enjoyed, in particular trying out a 'subskate' surfboard. This week Ava has been quite tired and unfortunately had a fall at school and badly bruised her chin on the ground. However, a magical event made up for that. Angelina and a sweet classmate of Ava's, Amelia, both wrote lovely letters nominating her to be Santa's special helper at the Duke of York Square Christmas fair. Ava was chosen from hundreds of nominees and this afternoon she got to ride with Santa in his sleigh, pulled along by two real reindeer, before switching on the Christmas lights! After stopping the busy traffic as they journeyed down the King's Road, they took to the stage to a rapturous welcome from the assembled crowd. Ava was beyond excited and thrilled to see so many of her classmates there to support her. We don't normally put Ava in the spotlight, but this came about through such thoughtfulness we simply couldn't refuse. I'm so glad we didn't, because her delight was priceless.
