Ava has had a much better week and done some great work in her therapy sessions. Although she is still struggling to put weight over her feet and regain her normal walking pattern, her sitting to standing is much steadier. On Sunday we also had a fantastically uplifting moment when she stood up and walked a dozen steps completely independently. This is something which she hasn't done in months and which shows her autonomic instinct to walk is still there. We are getting ready for the return to school tomorrow, when Ava will attend for the morning like everyone else, before resuming her therapy in the afternoon. She is super excited about seeing her friends again and really looking forward to meeting her new teaching assistant Miss Georgina.
