Still no news on the school issue and we had a difficult week where Ava seemed to have lost her motivation for exercise. This is possibly because she doesn't see any major improvement despite her efforts, and possibly because our school Sports Day was looming, keenly reminding her of her limitations. When the day itself arrived, Ava geared herself up to be an enthusiastic spectator and supporter of both Year 3 and her house team 'Ashcroft'. She wasn't expecting to participate in the events because of her issues with balance, however she was still happy to attend and got swept up in the terrificly upbeat atmosphere. She was delighted to then be invited to take part in a javelin relay. We left early to attend OT before the results were announced, but when Angelina came home and presented her with a medal, she was beyond thrilled.  Angelina also did brilliantly, coming 1st in the 800m run and 2nd in high jump. It's been a sporting week all round, with Richard coming 5th in the annual Mayfair 'Power & Tower' run, a gruelling race around Hyde Park (4.5km), followed by a sprint up 28 floors of the Hilton hotel! Ava has been boyed up again by this flurry of sporting activity and has begun asking to do more exercise again at home. She has also started a routine of positive thinking exercises at bedtime, where she visualises her dream of running around the playground with her best friend Luisa :) If anyone can make that a reality, it will be Ava.
