We have been sad this week to say goodbye to Ava's key occupational therapist at Maximum Potential, Chrysa Kotsampoxaki. Chrysa has treat Ava for 2 years, before and after Gene Therapy, and been an incredible source of knowledge and support. Ava always had great fun in her sessions and she has helped keep Ava motivated with her lovely calm and positive approach. We will all miss her a great deal. Luckily Ava's treasured friend Luisa was on hand to cheer her up yesterday. Ava is always very excited to have Luisa to herself on a play date, but yesterday was even more thrilling for her, as Luisa gave Ava a very special gift of this gorgeous American Girl Doll bakery! Louisa's Mum Ana Maria brought it all the way from New York and set it up in Ava's room whilst she was at school in order to surprise her. Ava and Luisa often play 'bakeries' together and so this gift was her idea of heaven! They spent hours playing with it and of course Ava did not want to sleep last night because she was in such high spirits about it. Thank you Luisa and Ana Maria for being so kind and thoughtful, it is much appreciated by all of us.
