Today Ava is 100 days post-transplant, which feels like an incredible milestone. At the end of our first week home we couldn't be happier to be reunited with Ava's Daddy and Angelina and it has been wonderful to see so many friends. However the pace of London life has been rather a shock to the system! We have ventured out with caution, but managed to make a brief appearance at the FHS swimming gala and attend Angelina's summer concert. Both were fantastic and Ava has been thrilled to see her friends and support her sister. We have also been for an Occupational Therapy assessment and Ava had her first session with Jess, a lovely tutor who is going to cover some of the school work she has missed. We have temporarily moved in with Ava's Godfather Jim (builders, don't ask) and yesterday Ava had her ears pierced, as promised, in compensation for losing her hair. So a very hectic week, but Ava has relished the normality and I have felt an unexpected wave of relief at the ordinariness of loading the washing machine and popping to Waitrose.
