Day +107

Posted on: 13/07/2014

We have had a super busy week and Ava has managed very well indeed. On Monday she was thrilled to join her classmates at Francis Holland School for a St. Lucia workshop. Ava had a lot of fun dancing and making fruit kebabs and was on a high all day afterwards, having received such kindness from her teachers and friends. We also saw our wonderful chiropractor Jo and had a session with Ava's tutor Jess, who made her a great 'Frozen' reward chart. On Tuesday we were both delighted to see my beautiful Goddaughter Minnie and marvel at how much she has changed since we last saw her before Milan. In the afternoon we had a visit from our ex-nanny Melanie, who is in town from New Zealand. Melanie is now in much demand as a party entertainer and wowed the girls with her amazing balloon creations. On Wednesday Ava went to school again, this time in her Victorian rich lady costume, having missed the trip to the Ragged School whilst in hospital. Caterina and Millie came in their Victorian maid outfits and brilliantly acted as Ava's servants all morning. Afterwards we headed to Marlow to be checked out by the amazing Chris Astill-Smith from Epigenetics, who adjusted both of our vitamin and mineral prescriptions. On Thursday we had a hospital visit and celebrated the end of term for Angelina. On Friday Ava and Angelina had a fun time together at OT, where they built a huge obstacle course, followed by a lovely lunch and playdate with Bella. Yesterday we went to Oxfordshire for the day and today we went to Hyde Park and had a trip to the cinema to see 'Maleficent'. So a very action-packed week, during which Ava has had great energy and enthusiasm. It's still early days in her recovery, but if she can cope with the frantic pace of London life at the end of term, I think we are in good shape!
