The last 24 hours have probably been Ava's worst. Mucositis is deeply unpleasant. However it is likely that we are at the peak of discomfort, so with luck things will be easier once we are through the weekend. Happily, Daddy is arriving tomorrow and Ava can't wait to see him. He is also bringing 11 new DVDs, which should provide a welcome distraction during this difficult stage. Just said goodbye to Grandma, who has been here with invaluable help and support all week. Ava is watching Japanese animation 'My Neighbour Totoro' and we are hopeful for a better night.
