Today ArchAngel donated an incredible 100,000 Euros to help fund more ground-breaking research into MLD treatment at the San Raffaele Hospital in Milan!! I am immensely proud of the ArchAngel team for their sterling fundraising efforts and ever grateful to everyone who has shown us their support. It is because of the kindness and generosity of our friends, our school community and followers of this blog, that we can give this massive boost to Dr Biffi and her research team. The money will be put directly into developing MLD treatment and towards making life more comfortable for many children who are suffering the unspeakably cruel effects of this disease. The hope which this will bring to many families is priceless. Ava is loving her mornings at school and we are trying to carry on as normal a life as possible. We are continuing with our super-hectic daily schedule of physio and occupational therapy. At least most of it is fun - like drawing these 'lazy eights', in shaving foam, which is a great exercise for Ava's fine motor skills. We are very much looking forward to half term, which begins at midday tomorrow. We may be continung with our busy diary but even a break from the school run will be a holiday!
