Neutrophils were back to zero. But we are told that it is normal for them to have a few false starts, the important thing is that her body is trying to recover. Some of the other children were at zero for 28 days, so even a small number showing after 7 days is very encouraging. Ava seems well enough and is slowly regaining her appetite. She is craving "something fresh" and really missing salad and berries - which are forbidden in case of bacteria and allergic reactions. Such a shame, but at least her immune system will be boosted further by such healthy choices once we leave the hospital!
