After a great Christmas holiday spent mostly with family, Ava was excited to get back to school yesterday. She was delighted to see her friends and meet her lovely new teaching assistant, Miss Nellie. This morning our OT and physio attended school to make sure that the teachers were fully briefed on the regular movement breaks which Ava requires, as well as ideal exercises for her to do during PE sessions. I am happy that the holidays are over and that all of the therapists are back to get Ava's daily sessions up and running again. We have done a couple of things each week where available, however compared to our usual intensive 6-day regime, it has not been enough and Ava has been very unsteady on her feet. I'm hoping this will improve over the coming weeks as we fall back into the routine. The other great thing about this week is the fact that I can begin to catch up on some paperwork. I have just opened an ArchAngel bank statement showing a very generous donation of £1000 from 'James Grant Media', agents to many well known TV personalities. This year they decided that instead of buying their artists gifts, they would make donations to charity. As Ava's Godmother George (above) is one of their agents, she kindly nominated ArchAngel as a beneficiary and we were approved! Thanks to George and all of the artists and agents for this really wonderful gesture.
