Ava's bone marrow aspiration went smoothly, although we will not know the results for a while. She has nevertheless had a good day, with neutrophils holding steady at 290. Ava is always sad when Daddy leaves for London and today was no exception. However two really great things brought a shine to her day... Auntie Emma came to visit. She brought fresh energy and enthusiasm into the room, along with some lovely pottery made by Ava's cousins Milly and Grace. Secondly, Dr Biffi allowed Ava to open the Belle doll which the Easter bunny left her! Up until now she has been adored through her transparent box, but today her neutrophils were considered stable enough to cope with the hair and dress which cannot be repeatedly disinfected like everything else in the room. This was a huge delight to Ava and also for us, as it is a sure sign that she is getting stronger.
