Today Dr Biffi allowed Ava to have pizza! It doesn't sound much of a big deal, but we have been following a very strictly controlled diet due to risk of infection and allergy, so any food from outside is a huge step forward. She ate well and without any problems. Grandma brought Ava some new Barbie Lego, which has been a big hit. She also did a late shift at the hospital so that I could have a lovely dinner with my good friend and Archangel trustee Rachael, who has flown to Milan to give me some much appreciated moral support. Thank you both!!
