No hospital today as the doctors were so pleased with Ava's blood work yesterday. I shall be interested to hear her neutrophil level tomorrow after the exposure to germs she has had today at the local playground... We had a very nice day in the sun with my good friend Karen, who arrived from Bournemouth last night. We fed the ducks and turtles and visited the local ice cream parlour for gelato and fresh fruit smoothies. After a long walk we had lunch and a game of hide and seek in the pretty hotel garden. We then had a rest and watched 'Bugsy Malone', which arrived yesterday from Ava's godmother Sophie. Ava thought that the splurge guns were hilarious and we watched the closing cream pie and splurge fight again and again. We then had another walk, this time to a little zoo in the hospital grounds, which has baboons and lots of exotic birds. Karen and I have both been staggered by Ava's boundless energy today. Massimo would be very proud of the amount of exercise she is doing!
