Another hospital free day today. This morning we took our usual walk to the lake and Ava was thrilled when these two ducks came out of the water and sat on the grass by us. They have been christened the 'love birds', as they always swim together. We are glad to have this daily distraction, as we certainly have a lot of time on our hands on our free days. Especially when it rains, like this afternoon/evening. We have managed to get through 3 new sticker books and even watch a little Italian kids TV. I thought the Japanese animation that Ava likes was bonkers, but it seems that the Italian cartoons are just as surreal. We had a good dinner tonight, especially as our lovely waitress Yolande had bought Ava some strawberry water to try and encourage her to drink more, which is an ongoing struggle. Drunk alongside some chicken and two massive plates of cucumber, Ava was in her element.
