Ava's hospital checks went well today, her neutrophils are steady at 1300 and her platelets are going from strength to strength, now at 90,000! Afterwards we travelled back into the centre of Milan to meet Ava's Grandma and Poppy, who are in Italy for the rest of the week to enable me to fly home for the ArchAngel dinner and auction on Thursday. Ava was thrilled to see Poppy for the first time in months and they spent the afternoon colouring in and exploring the Bulgari garden. Julia then opened the penthouse suite for them to watch a movie on a big screen and they had a fun time watching 'Barbie and the Pink Shoes'. Tonight Ava had her first tears for home, no doubt prompted by the fact that I am leaving for London tomorrow. This is pretty good going bearing in mind that this is our twelfth week away, so I have no doubt that she will find the strength to get her through this last month in Milan.
